Natural Bridge

In an attempt to start checking some items off of my life list, Chance and I recently visited the Natural Bridge for the first time. I've always wanted to see it because my paternal grandparents honeymooned there in 1946. I doubt much has changed since then but that's part of the charm.

After a brief walk downhill and a turn around a sharp corner, we were stunned to see the massive Natural Bridge before us. I didn't expect to be so taken with this natural creation but, once upon it, I couldn't help but admire its enormous beauty.

After gazing at the Natural Bridge for some time (and taking pictures of it from every angle), we walked along the Cedar Creek Nature Trail with water on one side and a moss-covered stone wall on the other.

We also visited their new butterfly exhibit, where we happened upon two butterflies mating.

The full day was well worth the $19 ticket and the hour-long car ride from Charlottesville. If you have the opportunity to visit, I would highly recommend it.

First post!

Hi, I'm Laura.

I'm a copywriter based in Charlottesville, VA. When I'm not writing for work, I'm spending time with my boyfriend, my cats, my dog, my family, and my friends. I love traveling, reading, eating, and watching movies. I'll document some of those things and more here as I make my way along my journey.

Thanks for visiting.
